You have reached the home page of the Ridge Live Steamers, Inc. This website is provided for the benefit of our members, model railroad and live steam enthusiasts. Fellow live steamers and those interested in the live steam and model railroading hobbies are welcome.
RLS is a non-profit organization and will work with other non-profit organizations dedicated to further the awareness of our railroad heritage.
RLS is a 7½” gauge railroad that currently has 7,500 feet of mainline with an additional 7,300 feet in sidings and yards. We also have a 180 foot, 3 track loop of elevated Gauge 1 and G-Gauge. Stationary and steam traction engines are also welcome.

It's been a great two days for our Spring Meet. It's always a welcome relief after the huge amount of traffic we get during every Year's Winter meet to have a couple calm and easy days of running trains for fun. We still had a steady stream of visitors both Saturday and Sunday, and train rides were available for all guests.
It was our honor to host Boy Scout Troops 41 and 515 this weekend as they gained their Railroad Merit badge.![]()
It's a special privilege to be able to help instruct these scouts about railroads and railroad safety!![]()
The scouts camped out on our property, got to ride trains, had hands-on time with a coal-fired steam engine, and even learned how to build track panels.![]()
SpaceX even sent a rocket up for everyone to see!
